Truck Planning Stage
- Help start, develop and lead truck committees
- Define project scope, truck needs and budget
- Work with vendors and committee to create clear communication
- Determine apparatus direction and procurement options
Specifications Stage
- Assist in writing and developing your specifications
- Review and compare bids and proposals and make recommendations
- Review bids to determine feasibility and compliance to specifications
- Compare and contrast manufacturers offerings in Cabs, Bodies and Pumps
- Determine bid compliance to NFPA standards
- Review bid pricing and lead times
Truck Build Stage
- Attend all truck committee meetings
- Attend Pre-Construction meetings
- Travel to manufacturers facilities
- Attend the apparatus mid point and final inspections
- Track apparatus inspection findings
Delivery Stage
- Assist in planning and implementation of department training with new apparatus
- Work with department to determine equipment layout
- Aide department in installation of equipment and tool mounting
- Help develop a predictive and preventative maintenance program per manufacturers specifications.
