Truck Planning Stage

  • Help start, develop and lead truck committees
  • Define project scope, truck needs and budget
  • Work with vendors and committee to create clear communication
  • Determine apparatus direction and procurement options

Specifications Stage

  • Assist in writing and developing your specifications
  • Review and compare bids and proposals and make recommendations
  • Review bids to determine feasibility and compliance to specifications
  • Compare and contrast manufacturers offerings in Cabs, Bodies and Pumps
  • Determine bid compliance to NFPA standards
  • Review bid pricing and lead times

Truck Build Stage

  • Attend all truck committee meetings
  • Attend Pre-Construction meetings
  • Travel to manufacturers facilities
  • Attend the apparatus mid point and final inspections
  • Track apparatus inspection findings

Delivery Stage

  • Assist in planning and implementation of department training with new apparatus
  • Work with department to determine equipment layout
  • Aide department in installation of equipment and tool mounting
  • Help develop a predictive and preventative maintenance program per manufacturers specifications.
